Obsidian is actually volcanic glass. This volcanic glass has several silver colored streams, resembling ribbons running through the glass.

Utilizing the volcanic glass, we have a handcrafted Sterling Silver Turtle Pendant set with a free-form silver ribbon obsidian cabochon. The impurities in the stone give the appearance of flowing silver ribbons. The stone is polished to a high mirror finish. The silver has been treated with a patina to enhance the detail.
